In October 2020, I finished a lovely and multifunctional family home in the heart of Amsterdam. As you enter, there’s the beautiful hallway with the authentic marble staircase, fitted with a made-to-measure coat rack. The other side of the walls are covered with ultra-strong wallpaper, which is both kid-proof and hard-wearing. We custom designed the kitchen together with the client. A small herb garden in the raised natural stone block next to the cooking area creates a fine partition between the dining room and kitchen. Next to the window, we created a cosy niche where the residents can retreat, but still remain involved in everyday family life.
